Suspect, Kibwe Wells, confess to killing of Savannah Dyer while apologizing to Tammy Holder.
Two brothers from Quarry Street, East Port of Spain, have been arrested in connection with the gruesome murder of 20-year-old Savanna Dyer.
One of the suspects, 23-year-old Kibwe Wells, recorded a chilling video confession following his arrest, stating: “This is a confession video—I killed Savanna Dyer. She mash up my relationship.”
Wells, who began exhibiting erratic behaviour while in police custody and later attempted to take his own life, has since been admitted to the St. Ann’s Psychiatric Hospital for evaluation. His brother, Sheldon Wells, who resides at the same address, also remains in police custody.
The arrests were made during coordinated police operations between Monday night, June 16th, and the early hours of Tuesday, June 17th, 2025.
Dyer’s body was discovered early Saturday morning, June 14th, near the Praedial Larceny Unit’s office in Carlsen Field. She had suffered visible head injuries, and investigators believe she may have been murdered elsewhere before being dumped at the remote site.
Exclusive CCTV footage obtained by Crime Watch shows Dyer on the night of Friday, June 13th, leaving R&R Bar in Barataria, where she had been liming with friends. She left her handbag and sweater inside and reportedly told a friend she would be back shortly.
The footage captures her walking toward a black sedan, speaking briefly with the driver at the window, then entering the vehicle. That was the last time she was seen alive.
