The Midrand man who is accused of distributing child pornography has been identified Darryn Wilken.
The 35-year-old appeared in the Randburg Magistrates Court on Monday morning where his case was postponed to Tuesday, the 28th of January for further investigations.
Wilken was arrested after investigators executed a search and seizure warrant at his residence in Midrand where more than 10 million child pornography images and videos were found stored on his devices.
The police also found drugs and a large sum of money (R560 000) on the premises.
During the proceedings the state reportedly asked for a seven day postponement to allow for further investigations into allegations of money laundering.
Wilken’s lawyer argued that the accused cannot wait another week for a bail application due to incomplete investigations.
