Avethandwa Nkosimnathi Msweli, a 4-year-old girl, was heading to a shop with her friends when she accidentally stepped on a half-dead puff adder. The snake bit her three times on the ankle. She was quickly taken to the nearest clinic but had to wait almost three hours for an ambulance. She was then transported to Hlabisa Hospital, where she sadly passed away after just four hours.
